Introducing Jetlag: "Sight for Sore Eyes"

Tommirock is proud to premiere the debut music video from Newcastle rock outfit Jetlag, filmed and produced as part of their major prize win at this year's Bandwidth competition.

A prize years in the making

Bandwidth is the Hunter region's premier showcase for up-and-coming high school bands, held annually by Hunter School of the Performing Arts at the HSPA Hunter Theatre.

For the past several years, Tommirock has proudly served as a major sponsor of the competition, awarding the overall winner its major prize: a fully produced and professionally recorded single alongside a director-led music video shoot, valued at $10,000.

This year, that prize went to Jetlag, named the 2025 Bandwidth major prize winners.

Their win secured them studio time with Tommirock's principal producer and engineer, Mitta Norath, to record their debut single "Sight for Sore Eyes," followed by a full music video shoot directed by Tommirock founder and Director of Photography Joel Black.

Shot at a Newcastle icon

The Music Video was shot at The Argyle House as the setting — a heritage-listed building on Wharf Road that has anchored Newcastle nightlife for decades. Long before its current name, generations of locals knew the venue as Fannys, one of the city's most iconic nightclubs through the 80s and 90s. Its ornate Victorian-era architecture and storied history made it the perfect backdrop for Jetlag's first official video, pairing raw new talent with one of the city's most recognisable stages.

Tommirock has been proud to support Bandwidth and the Hunter region's next generation of musicians for years, and Jetlag's video is a testament to what's possible when young talent meets professional production.
