Alex spent almost a week in the studio working on his new single at Tommirock Studios.

(produced, engineered and mixed by Mitta) ahead of the unveiling of his new artist name and image.

What ended up coming out of the studio was a mixture of neo-soul, RnB and pop, a unique spin on Alex’s old sound and something truly different and exciting.

Combining electric guitar (a staple of Alex’s sound), acoustic and synth bass together (a la Daft Punk), drum and percussion loops cut from live takes in the studio, plenty of auxiliary sounds and subtle vocal layers resulted in an aurally ambiguous and intriguing sound design, a great indication of where Alex’s new sound is taking him.

We’re looking forward to having Alex back, his creativity and ambitious drive is always welcome.
